Nomads Give Back
How our community gives back to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica: verified local projects, hands-on volunteering, responsible travel, and a transparent fund with a public ledger.
Where your gift goes
- Urgent needs — Verified medical, family, or school support, handled with consent and care.
- Community projects — Beach and forest protection, school improvements, and local associations.
- Local initiatives — Youth projects, local entrepreneurship, and small community-led ideas.
Volunteer
Give your time, not just your money. Lend your skills to community actions around Santa Teresa — we only publish opportunities with a verified local need and a trusted local partner.
Be a good guest
- Go easy on water — Shorter showers, turn off the tap, report leaks. Wells run low in dry season.
- Sort your waste — Recycle right: transparent bags for recyclables, glass separate, e-waste at marked points.
- Slow & low on the roads — Drive slow on the unpaved roads to cut dust, noise, and risk.
- Keep wildlife wild — Don't feed the monkeys or coatis, keep your distance, dim night lights near the beach.
- Support local first — Choose Tico-owned cafés, shops, and guides.
Nomads Give Back is a community-led fund, not a registered charity. Contributions are personal gifts and are not tax-deductible.
