A devastating fire has affected several homes and businesses in the Santa Teresa community. Thankfully, no lives were lost, but for some local families, the damage has been life-changing.
78-year-old Gollita and her family lost everything, including her home and a beloved part of the Santa Teresa community, Soda La Amistad. Thankfully donations received so far have made it possible for her to get an apartment for her family, but she has lost her entire source of income and belongings.
Another local family endured severe damage to their family home of 35 years. Although they fought to keep the flames from reaching their home with a garden hose, the heat damaged the walls and electrical system. They were able to save their home but the unexpected repair costs have placed a significant financial burden on the family.
We are coming together as a community to support those whose lives were impacted by this fire. Every contribution, no matter the amount, can make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is another powerful way to help.

Why we chose it
The fire created major financial consequences for local families.
Gollita, 78, and her family lost their home, belongings, and Soda La Amistad, which was also their source of income.

This project focuses on helping these families recover and regain financial stability after the fire.
Where the money goes
The fundraising goal is a contribution toward the families’ recovery costs and is not intended to cover all fire-related losses and expenses.
How we show proof
Nomads Give Back will document the project through:
- Confirmation of funds received by each family
- Photos and updates on the families’ recovery
- A breakdown of how donations were allocated
- A final update showing the total amount raised and distributed

Donations are held by Nomads Community on behalf of Nomads Give Back and may only be used for this project. The transfer will be reviewed and documented by NGB admin members.
